2) Scope

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit detaildv.com, contact us, request quotes, schedule services, or otherwise interact with us in the United States.

3) Information we collect

A. You provide directly

  • Contact details (name, email, phone).
  • Booking/service info (requested service, preferred date/time, on‑site address if applicable).
  • Vehicle details (make/model/year; license plate or VIN only if necessary for the service).
  • Messages, instructions, reviews; photos of your vehicle that you send or allow us to take.
  • Payment info is processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.

B. Collected automatically

  • Log/device data (IP address, browser/OS, pages viewed, time spent, referrer, device identifiers, approximate location from IP).
  • Cookies and similar technologies (necessary, analytics, and — if enabled — advertising).

C. From third parties

  • Payment processor (transaction status/metadata).
  • Booking/CRM tools (appointment details/status).
  • Analytics/advertising partners (aggregated campaign metrics).

Sensitive information: we do not seek to collect sensitive data (e.g., SSN, precise geolocation, health data). Please do not send it. If discovered, we delete it where feasible.

4) How we use information

  • Provide and manage services: scheduling, confirmations, on‑site work, customer support.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Communicate with you: quotes, updates, service notices, and (where permitted) marketing messages.
  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve our website and services; analyze usage.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users’ safety.

5) Cookies, analytics, and advertising

  • Types: strictly necessary (core site/security), functional (preferences), analytics (usage), advertising/retargeting (if enabled).
  • Your choices: use our cookie banner to accept, reject non‑essential cookies, or manage settings; you can also block/clear cookies in your browser.
  • Do Not Track: due to the lack of a common standard, we generally do not respond to DNT signals.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): where we “sell” or “share” personal information under applicable law, we treat a valid GPC as a request to opt out for that browser.

6) How we disclose information

  • Service providers: hosting/CDN, booking/CRM, payments, analytics, email/SMS, and customer support providers acting on our behalf.
  • Advertising partners: only if advertising cookies/pixels are enabled, for cross‑context behavioral advertising. You can opt out (see “Your privacy rights”).
  • Legal/safety: to comply with law or legal process, enforce terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information for money. If advertising cookies/pixels are used, some disclosures may be considered “sharing” (and in limited cases “selling”) under certain state privacy laws; you can opt out.

7) Data retention

  • Contact/booking records: typically 3 years after your last interaction, unless a longer period is required for business, tax, or legal reasons.
  • Transaction records/invoices: up to 7 years (tax/accounting).
  • Photos/portfolio: until consent is withdrawn or the purpose is fulfilled.
  • Logs/analytics: commonly up to 26 months, depending on provider settings.

When retention ends, we delete or de‑identify information where feasible.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., HTTPS/TLS, least‑privilege access, software updates, vendor due diligence). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9) Children’s privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10) Your privacy rights (United States)

Depending on your state, you may have rights to:

  • Access a copy of your personal information.
  • Request deletion, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Request correction of inaccuracies.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Manage cookies via our banner and your browser.

  • Right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive PI for additional purposes).
  • Right to non‑discrimination for exercising your rights.
  • Submit a request: email dv.prodetail@gmail.com or use detaildv.com/privacy-request.
  • Opt out of sale/share: use detaildv.com/do-not-sell or our cookie banner. We honor valid GPC signals.
  • Verification: we may request you verify your identity (e.g., confirm email/phone or provide limited additional info). An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authorization and identity verification.
